George, Our Beloved Loyal For Legged Friend:
Five years ago, we had to say goodbye to a very special little dog, George. A small, sturdy cross between a Schnauzer and a Jack Russell. His blonde coat, always soft and full of life, was a mirror of his playful nature. The sadness of his sudden departure still touches me deeply.
The first seven years of George's life were not always easy. He was a bit of a dragon, we remember that well. But now we understand that much of his mischief came from the difficult time I was going through myself. George saw it all and reacted in his own way. But through these tough times, a bond grew between us that was stronger than anything else. After those years, George became not only a loyal companion, but also my best friend. His energy slowly gave way to a calmness, and he became the source of love and support. George, who always loved to bark so much, made his voice heard to comfort and give us love.
His love for running was unparalleled. It was a real pleasure to watch him flash through the garden, the wind through his blond hair. His joy in life and desire for adventure made every day special. He was not only a loyal four-legged companion, but also a playmate for our three daughters. They could always count on him for a cuddle or a playful moment, even on the gloomiest days.
The accident that took him away from us too soon, the fall down the stairs and the ruptured spleen, was a heavy blow.
But we treasure the beautiful memories he gave us.
His imprint is still in our hearts, in the ring I wear, in the happy echo of his bark.
My dear George, you were only allowed to live up to 11 years, but you gave us so much love, joy and warmth.
We will always remember you, as a symbol of unconditional friendship.
